| Moving to Blogger It's been a fun ride these past 4 years, but Xanga is losing it's appeal. Sure it's nice to know who reads my posts from eprops and trackers etc, but it's not something I care about anymore. The best feedback I've gotten about my jots never came through the site and I expect that to stay the same as I make this transition. I've had a backup site on Blogger for a while now and I'm gonna start posting on it as soon as I finish ... start coding a template. New spot's right here http://sigmadx.blogspot.com/ | | |
| What a Quarter I'm back home for winter break as of yesterday. Looking back, this has been the most challenging quarter I've had yet at NU, and certainly one of the most tiring experiences of my life. My finals week was also the lowest I've had in a while with a 20 pager, a 30pager, and then 5 exams, but it's all over at last. In the midst of the lows, I had a chance to reevaluate a lot of things, my situation, my goals, their motivations. There were a lot of times when I kept on asking myself "why?". Why am I still putting myself through this? Why didn't I choose an easier major, a more medically relevent major? Why am I not enjoying the 70 degree weather in Palo Alto lol? Instead of bs'ing a neat pragmatic answer, the simple truth is just 1 word: pride. I have way too much pride to just throw in the towel at this point and I certainly have too much to begin seriously thinking about why I didn't cop out for an easier path in the beginning. Sure my undergrad might not be the most chill, enjoyable, fun, whatever. But to be able to have pride in what I'm doing... that's enough for me. 7 down, 2 more to go. Oh, and I'll be working in Evanston from Mon-Wednes... if anyone wants to play. | | |
| After Thanksgiving... The first half of break was how it usually is. Cooked up a turkey, brought it to a potluck w/ family friends, went shopping at Aurora Outlets and managed to score some shoes and shirts. But come Friday, I came back from the dead and met up with IMSA peepz for the first time in over a year. We went to Giordanno's and then went off to trash ... chill at Jack's to celebrate Nut's 21st b-day. Below: A late night snack for Nuts

I was gonna post some more... but they kept on becoming more and more incriminating. Mimi has super leverage over us now so yeahhh ... but fast forward 4 hrs and we end up at:
Catching up with everyone's lives made this one of the best thanksgivings in a while. It's refreshing that even though everyone's almost done with college and so much has changed, a lot's also stayed the same . It's also sad to think that by next year, most of us will be at completely different stages in our professional lives; some will be in med school, others in grad school, others working. But aftering chilling with everyone, I'm optimistic. Who needs to relive the past when the people you spent it with are in the present? That's what I'm thankful for | | |
| MBR Was Fun Title speaks for itself. Props to Umich for holding it and to Blueprint & Tinman for being such awesome hosts. Below: I'll miss this stuff the most after I graduate.
Below: I'm not sure I'll miss this stuff that much though. I also don't think DS... the mysterious bro on the right was trying to make the lambda sign either ....
